Return of Spring
10" x 15", SOLD
Unlike the odd warm spell that can occur during the winter, the true beginning of spring has a richer feeling. There's a softness in the breeze, though it may be cool, that contrasts with the biting winds of winter. Everywhere subtle colours are transforming the trees and undergrowth, glowing with the promise of leaves and blossoms yet to come. And best of all, the old familiar birds are back again for another nesting season. When the red-winged blackbirds begin patrolling the cattail marshes and flashing their brilliant red feathers, you can be sure that spring has returned to Ontario.
